We understand that arranging school transportation can be complicated, which is why we aim to provide multiple options for getting students to and from campus safely and efficiently.
Field’s comprehensive Shuttle program offers transportation for students living in the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia areas. Families who do not choose the Shuttle program can pick up and drop off their child(ren) and are encouraged to carpool. Many families who live nearby walk, bike, or scooter to school.
Field Shuttle Transportation
Field offers shuttles to and from several metro stations and neighborhoods in the area – and our incredible team of talented and certified drivers operates these iconic blue buses. Each year, the shuttle stops are reevaluated to meet the needs of our community.
Families who choose to utilize the shuttle service must register on a specific route and as a one-way or round-trip rider. For families who need daily transportation, we recommend that you sign up on an annual basis. Financial aid for transportation is available for families receiving financial aid.
Students and faculty utilizing public transportation may also make use of a Field shuttle to complete their trip to campus. If your child resides in The District of Columbia, they are eligible to receive a Kids Ride Free SmartTrip Metro Card. Applications for this program are available in the Front Office.
Carpooling is an excellent way to meet new families, socialize, and save time. Current families have access to the full student directory, where they may identify other students in their zip code and can discuss creating a carpool.
Students who live near campus are strongly encouraged to walk to school or ride their scooters or bikes. Students who choose to walk or ride their scooters or bikes should be mindful of all traffic laws and safety protocols.
Field seniors who are 17 years of age may apply for a fee-based parking permit to park on campus in a designated parking spot. As part of our community and neighborhood compliance, Field students are not allowed to park in the adjacent neighborhoods. The opportunity to park on campus is first come, first serve.
