The Field School experience is something each student carries with them throughout their lives. The people who are connected to Field are incredibly special, and we value our relationships with parents, alums, and the community.
Charitable contributions to The Field Fund allows us to continue providing innovative learning opportunities for our students that have a long-lasting impact—in and out of the classroom. Each gift ensures a well-rounded and adaptable educational experience beyond what tuition provides.
Every contribution to The Field Fund propels the School's mission by providing vital support to the School’s operating budget. Each contribution, regardless of amount, helps further distinguish Field as the academic environment for inspired learners and creative problem solvers.
When you choose to support The Field Fund, you empower Field to:
Attract and retain exemplary faculty who inspire, mentor, teach, and coach.
Maintain small class sizes and ensure low student-faculty ratios.
Provide financial assistance to approximately 20% of students annually.
Offer a diverse and innovative curriculum both within and beyond the classroom.
Cultivate a culture of bold thinkers and community through academics, arts, athletics, and community engagement programs.
Tuition alone does not cover the total cost of a Field education. Charitable donations propel Field to being an exceptional and inclusive school community, ensuring access for all academically qualified families, regardless of their financial circumstances. In addition to supporting professional development for faculty, philanthropy empowers students to excel academically and immerse themselves in transformative experiences, including academics, Intersession, athletics, and performing arts.
Every Field family is invited to contribute meaningfully to help achieve a school-wide goal of 100% parent participation. Together, the community demonstrates a strong commitment to advancing Field's mission and nurturing student growth and success.
Field strives to minimize tuition increases so that a Field education remains competitive with other area schools. A diverse student body is integral to and inspires all learners who benefit from an environment of deep learning and bold thinking. We maintain socioeconomic diversity in our student body and seek additional revenues from our community through charitable giving. Fundraising helps assist and ensure a strong Field education and experience beyond our tuition structure.
Beyond an annual participation gift to the Field Fund, many families often sponsor or support the Dare To Be Field spring fundraiser. The Advancement office also welcomes opportunities to discuss support of special projects or areas of interest to donors—those that deepen learning, empower students, or honors the work of exemplary teachers.
Gifts of all sizes help provide a transformative education that inspires students and teachers. We encourage all families to help meet the goal of 100% parent participation and make meaningful contributions that reflect their passion and appreciation for Field. Donors typically make pledges or donations during Field Giving Week (late November) or a year-end gift for charitable tax purposes and then contribute to Dare to be Field in the spring. Families can set up recurring electronic donations for convenience, and those who qualify may also take advantage of employer matching programs to maximize the impact of their charitable giving. All pledges and gifts must be fulfilled by June 30.
The Field Fund is a year-long program dedicated to raising funds to support every aspect of the Field education. Encompassing various critical areas, the Field fund supports financial aid, professional development opportunities for faculty, innovation in the classroom, and co-curricular programs. These components help maintain a culture of inspired learning and further our mission. The Field Fund creates an immediate impact in the community, most recently funding new science lab equipment and maker space technology, enhancements to the music program, and investments in professional development of our exemplary teachers.
The Sapere Circle recognizes individuals (living and posthumously) who have included The Field School in their estate plans. Naming The Field School as a beneficiary can be arranged with your wealth advisor, and donors can designate a specific amount or a percentage of the estate to the School.
