We hope everyone is having a great week! We’re onto our next Senior Spotlight. Logan came to Field in 10th grade and now she’s heading to Syracuse University in the fall where she plans to major in Design Studies. Logan has been very involved in athletics — playing on several varsity teams — and student leadership at Field. Keep reading to learn more about how Field prepared Logan for her next chapter.
What major or subject area are you planning to pursue in college?
Design Studies
What grade level did you enter Field?
10th
Why did you choose to attend Field?
I chose to attend Field because I needed a space that felt like a happy medium between academics and social life. At my old school, things were good with academics but I needed a place where I could have a balance; like playing sports, going to dances etc. That was Field.
What has been your favorite class at Field and why?
My favorite class at Field has probably been my Digital Foundations or Concentrations classes because they best align with what I want to do when I leave high school. I love the freedom and opportunity that you have when creating the work in the classes.
What sports/clubs did you take part in at Field?
What is your favorite memory from your time at Field?
My favorite memory from Field is probably my sophomore year when we went to the championships during the soccer season. I also loved the senior trip at the beginning of the school year.
What is your advice for future Field seniors?
You have one senior year of high school. It is important that you use it properly. Go out with your friends, do your college work and applications EARLY, take time off, remember you are still a kid, hug your parents because you will miss them, and most of all say “thank you.”
How did Field prepare you for your next chapter?
I know that when I go to a college class I will be able to confidently write a 10+ page paper without feeling stressed or like I haven't done it before. I also think that I am prepared to have college-level discussions and answer college-level questions.
