Happy Friday! Today’s Senior Spotlight is Star. Star started at Field in 9th grade and now he is heading to Parsons School of Design to study fashion design. He said his passion for fashion developed during Intersession a couple of years ago! Keep reading to discover Star’s advice for future Field seniors.

Fashion design
What grade level did you enter Field?
9th
Why did you choose to attend The Field School?
I chose to attend Field because of the strong arts program here. Originally, I was only interested in music, but Field helped me discover my passion for fashion.
What has been your favorite class at Field?
Senior Seminar: Toni Morrison has pushed me to challenge my beliefs, strengthen my writing to be clear and concise, and made me realize that I want to continue taking English in college.
What sports/clubs did you take part in at Field?
What has been your favorite memory at Field?
Taking Field's Fashion Intersession class allowed me to find my love for fashion design. I remember that the teachers had to make me stop working on the project because I was so invested in what I was doing. This class made me change what I was going to do in college.
What will you miss most about Field?
I will miss Field's teachers the most. I felt very supported during my time here and have made meaningful and lasting connections that I will never forget.
What advice would you give future Field seniors?
Take the classes that interest you the most. You will enjoy and put more effort into the classes even after deciding where to go for college. It will make your last moments at Field the best they have ever been because you are passionate about what you are doing.
How did Field prepare you for your next chapter?
Field has prepared me for high-level classes in college, as well as how to prepare for interviews and internships. The Internship opportunity here is unique and allows you to immerse yourself in potential workforces after graduation.
