Today’s Senior Spotlight is Ayla! Ayla came to Field in 7th grade and she is heading to Barnard College in the Fall. During her time at Field, Ayla played soccer, basketball, and lacrosse. She was also a member of our Hispanic and Latino Student Union. Keep reading to find out her advice to future Field seniors.

Why did you choose to attend The Field School?
After touring Field in 6th grade, I knew that the small, personalized classes would be a great fit for my learning style. I also liked the emphasis Field placed on art classes.
What has been your favorite class at Field and why?
My favorite class at Field has been my History and Politics through Film class. I have always loved watching movies, and it was so fun to explore them as real texts, being able to delve into their deeper meanings and symbolism, as well as their historical contexts.

What is your favorite memory from your time at Field?
Middle school and 11th grade late nights.
What is your advice for future Field seniors?
Have fun and take advantage of the resources available to you.
How did Field prepare you for your next chapter?
Field has taught me how to maintain good relationships with my teachers and superiors, which equips me to advocate for myself and my education in the coming years. The Internship Program also prepared me for the real world.
