She also started the Red Cross Blood Drive at Field! Keep reading to discover her favorite memory from her time here.
What major or subject area are you planning to pursue in college?
Biology
What grade level did you enter Field?
7th
Why did you choose to attend The Field School?
The small class sizes allow for collaboration with my peers and one-on-one time with the teachers. It seemed inclusive and fun and had a strong sense of community.
What has been your favorite class at Field and why?
I liked 11th grade history, English, and Advanced Biology because the teachers were so passionate about their subjects; the entire class thrived and grew even if they weren't originally interested in the topic.
What sports/clubs did you take part in at Field?
What is your favorite memory from your time at Field?
Honestly, moments in class where I'm really engaged and having fun. I remember in English we were reading a book, 12 Angry Men, and were acting out a jury scene and reading from the book and it was so fun it didn't even feel like class. I remember that moment because I was like, "Wow I'm so happy."
What will you miss most about Field?
I will miss the teachers the most. They've taught me so much, about the world, myself, and what it means to be a good person.
What is your advice for future Field seniors?
Even if Senioritis kicks in just remember how fascinating the subjects are that you're learning. Step back and realize how cool Calc is or English – how you can manipulate emotions and words and really influence somebody.
How did Field prepare you for your next chapter?
I think Field has prepared me to be a self-advocate and a leader. I learned subjects in science and then did incredibly well as a biology assistant at a biotech company because I was so well-prepared. Field prepared me for the next chapter because I already know I can succeed outside of Field, in a lab, hospital, and now college.
