Why did you choose to attend The Field School?
I first started looking at Field because my sister was already attending and I saw how much more confident and happy she had become since joining. I chose to attend Field because of how different it felt compared to other schools I'd seen. I felt the people in this community were extremely strong and supportive of each other.
What grade level did you enter at Field?
6th
What has been your favorite class at Field and why?
My favorite class at Field has definitely been photography. In middle school, I didn't really know what Studio I wanted to take, but once I started photography I realized how much I love it. My teachers have helped me develop technical skills, while also encouraging me to be creative and explore ideas and topics that interest me. Since joining the class in 8th grade, photography has become one of my biggest interests and I hope to continue pursuing it after high school.
What sports/clubs did you take part in at Field?
What will you miss most about Field?
I am going to miss my teachers. Throughout my time here, my teachers have always been extremely passionate about making sure classes are engaging and worthwhile for everyone. I've always found my teachers to be extremely flexible and accommodating when it comes to lesson plans and classes, so it feels like every unit and topic is purposeful.
What is your advice for future Field seniors?
My advice for future seniors is to take advantage of the community. If there's something you want to do or you have a problem, there's always going to be at least one other member of the community that can help.
How did Field prepare you for your next chapter?
Field helped prepare me for my next chapter of life by helping me realize what I'm passionate about and what type of environments are best for my learning style.
