College Counseling Senior Spotlight


Meet Elise! Elise started at Field in 7th grade, and now she’s heading to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to study classics and political science. During her time at Field, Elise has been very involved in our community. She’s a great athlete, playing basketball and tennis. She’s also part of the Community Service Club and the Feminism Club. Keep reading to discover her advice for future Field seniors.


What major or subject area are you planning to pursue in college?

Classics and Political Science

What grade level did you enter Field?

7th

Why did you choose to attend The Field School?

I chose to attend The Field School so I could have teachers who cared about me and the subjects they teach.

What has been your favorite class at Field?

Latin because it led me to realize that I wanted to go into classics. It always challenges me and pushes me to work hard.

What sports/clubs did you take part in at Field?

  • Basketball
  • Tennis
  • Community Service Club
  • Feminism Club 

What has been your favorite memory at Field?

Just in general, hanging out with friends and playing sports.

What will you miss most about Field?

The connection to the teachers and the ability to try whichever sport or art I wanted.

What advice would you give future Field seniors?

To challenge yourself and get involved in a bunch of different activities.

How did Field prepare you for your next chapter?

I learned how to advocate for myself and developed a solid understanding of the world before leaving for college.
