Today’s Senior Spotlight is Lena! Lena is heading to Northwestern University in the Fall and plans to major in Black Studies. Lena came to Field in 9th grade, and during her time here she has been involved in athletics–playing soccer and managing the Varsity Boys Basketball team. She’s also very involved in student leadership. Lena says she’ll miss the teachers at Field the most. Keep reading to learn more about her favorite memory at Field.

What has been your favorite class at Field and why?
History 11. It was a class where I learned lots of new things and was able to have insightful and interesting conversations with my classmates. There were topics that I already knew about so I engaged in educational conversations.
What sports/clubs did you take part in at Field?
What is your favorite memory from your time at Field?
Sitting with my friends in the college conference room before the Winter Arts Showcase, talking about our lives and just enjoying each other's company.
What will you miss most about Field?
I will miss the teachers who work so hard to create unique and thoughtful experiences for the students. I will also miss the faculty members that I interact with daily and my friends in younger grades.
What is your advice for future Field seniors?
Get your college work done as soon as you can and don't procrastinate.
How did Field prepare you for your next chapter?
Field helped me to learn interdisciplinary and leadership skills. Everyone at Field was very welcoming and helped me be the best version of myself.
