Senior Spotlight College Counseling

Today’s Senior Spotlight is Bella, who is heading to Syracuse University in the Fall to study marketing. Bella has been at Field since 9th grade and she says Field helped her break out of her shell. This year she is taking a studio seminar – which she says gives her the creative freedom to explore anything. Click the link in our bio to learn more about why Bella chose Field.

What major or subject area are you planning to pursue in college?

Marketing

Why did you choose to attend The Field School?

I needed a school that would break me out of my shell and "force" me to speak up whether it was to ask a question or answer a question and The Field School was a perfect fit for that. The personal experience you get at the school is unmatched.

What grade level did you enter at Field?

9th

What has been your favorite class at Field and why?

I have fallen in love with my studio seminar class. I have the creative freedom to explore whatever I want. I learned in this class that "there is no paper-cutting police" during a session with a class speaker. This opened my eyes to living in my own creative freedom without limitations.

What sports/clubs did you take part in at Field?

Feminism Club

What is your favorite memory from your time at Field?

My favorite memory at Field is my senior year. Although it is not specific it has been my favorite time.

What will you miss most about Field?

I will miss the people I have met and the unique learning style.

What is your advice for future Field seniors?

Don't let one stressful situation affect the things you love to do.

How did Field prepare you for your next chapter?

Field has taught me how to be a "good" student. I have learned what works for me and Field allowed me to have the time and space to figure it out.
