Meet Bilal! He’s heading to Rutgers University in the Fall to study engineering. During his time at Field, Bilal was part of several clubs including gardening club, Black Student Union (BSU), and the Business Society. He also played golf! He says his favorite class at Field was the Toni Morrison Senior Seminar, taught by Dr. Kim! Keep reading to find out his favorite memory from his time at Field.

 

 

Why did you choose to attend The Field School?

Because of the inclusive community.

What grade level did you enter Field?

9th grade

What has been your favorite class at Field and why?

The Toni Morrison Seminar, because I enjoyed reading her books. I also liked African American Studies because I enjoyed learning about African Americans and DC history.

What sports/clubs did you take part in at Field?

What is your favorite memory from your time at Field?

One of my favorite memories was getting stuck in an elevator during the Civil Rights Journey Intersession travel course in my junior year.

What will you miss most about Field?

The people and the campus.

What is your advice for future Field seniors?

Enjoy the reading you get to do in different classes.

How did Field prepare you for your next chapter?

Field gave me the resources I needed to prepare for college, like SAT and ACT prep and College Counseling.
